Hobbies: He is a carpenter by trade, but he is also very good with a sketchbook.
Physical Features: Rihdan is increadibly tall, and very powerful in his build, while possessing an atheletic weight structure. He could very easily match warriors in strength while running for miles without stopping to catch his breath.
His body is covered in midnight black fur, a shade which shimmers when caught directly under moonlight, a mane of black running down the back of his head. His ears are tall and large much the same, giving him the coined nickname "Big Ears" by a few who chose to tease him.
Special Abilities: He isn't a prophet, but he has a very strong affinity with the spirits. He can hear them speaking all around him, and can use his power to amplify their voices. When he uses this spiritual energy, oftentimes the whispers he hears are strengthened to a point that even others can listen to their tone all around him.
While he wasn't born a spiritist, not too long ago, he was exposed to a horrid ritual to try to force him to act against his will. This arcane act of blasphamy seared his body with the spiritual energy of a powerful warrior shaman, which coated his blood in the power of the deceased specter, and tied his soul to the spirit realm.
Positive Personality Traits: Rihdan is very kind-hearted, gentle, and friendly. He will accept those who show him respect and sincerity even if they aren't of the same race or follow the same belief structure. He also offers his gifts in healing to these same individuals without questions asked.
Negative Personality Traits: He is often naieve to a fault, and doesn't think before he acts. He is also still young, and can act like it if the opportunity calls for it.
Misc. Quirks: None that are really noticeable.
History:
Even though Rihdan was born one of the last Spirit Ragers, he spent most of his life growing up in a quiet Bloodhowler village and raised to be just like every other one of them: respecting the Nomadic ways and desiring to return to the old nature of the hunt. He was a no-name hunter of the pack, and brought food for the village.
Things were monotonous. Day in, day out, same old thing. Get up, go hunting, bring back food. Eat, sleep, wake up the next day and do it all over again.
Until one day that the Bloodhowlers decided to take their plans directly against Dahknarg, the Village of 'new believers' that wanted to tarnish the ways of their kin. They requested Rihdan to infiltrate the village and gather as much information as he could regarding it's strengths and it's weaknesses. They ordered that he kill anyone that he could make seem accidental.
Rihdan, however, was not a senseless killer. He was not someone who would murder an innocent, and so he refused openly, but their order wouldn't take no for an answer. They took him prisoner, and their spiritists attempted to force a warrior's spirit into his body: the spirit of a great Bloodhowler hero that had recently passed. In this, Rihdan would have no choice but to obey the spirit's desires, and carry out what was demanded of him.
The spirit's energy bonded with Rihdan's blood, warping it, changing it to match the spirit's own before its passing, altering his very essence as a Vulmane to what the warrior had once been. But his soul was too strong, and it rejected the warrior's own from fully possessing his body and taking his mind. The spirit was banished away once again, though not without leaving Rihdan's soul tied to the realm from which it had come from.
He took the first chance he could to flee.
The next few nights were plagued with nightmares, seeing spirits in his dreams and the death of many over and over again. He would often awake coated in sweat. Each time he awoke, the color of his fur grew gradually darker, losing the grey tint that he had always possessed, running black as ink upon parchment.
A month later, on the eve of a the same ill-lit moon, his nightmares worsened, giving him the most fitful night of sleep he had ever experienced. He awoke once again with a start, this time to searing pain that coarsed all throughout his body. He charged screaming out of the tent, clawing at his own flesh as the spiritual power inside of him set ablaze. Fire raged under his skin, consuming his mind to a blurred darkness of forced rest.
When he awoke, he was different than before, changed forever, taller and stronger, no longer recognizing his own body because of the physical manifestations of the spiritual power that he had come to possess through the Bloodhowler's failed attempts at taking away his freedom.
He knew that he couldn't live on the run anymore, not with the strange spiritual energy that he now knew he possessed. He recognized that he had to try to understand his new powers, and come to control them. . . before they came to control him.
It was then that he made his way to Dahknarg. Though due to his birth, he was never accepted into their society, never able to learn their ways, never able to learn how to harness his powers.
He has wandered alone to this day due to this.
